Attention all Contrapaulistas: please vote on the new poll question over to the right: Should blogger Bubba start his own blog? I voted Yeah!! already.
the notion that dreher should give up anything at all -- variety, taste -- for his (ostensible localist) principles is completely foreign to dreher. IT DOESN'T EVEN OCCUR TO HIM THAT PRINCIPLES SHOULD ENTAIL ANY SACRIFICE WHATEVER. this is the characteristic of an utterly nihilistically immoral monster.
You're both right, of course. Although I never really thought Miller Lite tasted great. But we've always noticed that CCism is pretty "lite" on that whole sacrifice thing.
I'm sure if a team of scientists worked on it long enough, Beaujolais could be replicated in the States. Or more preferably in China so the big box wine stores could sell it even cheaper. It's imported already anyway.
Strange I took the kids to get a shaved ice. On the counter was a box of moonpies. Never seen'em before. Though of the Bubbster.
ReplyDeleteOh, shaved ice -- must be warm over there... Rub it in, Mystic.
ReplyDeletemy favorite dreherism of the day to bubba;

Reminds me of a Miller Lite commercial.

i'm just amazed that the notion of sacrifice *doesn't even cross dreher's mind*. it's a non-issue.
