It looks like liberal indoctrination hasn't reached everybody yet. If someone is breaking into your house at night, are you going to call the ACLU? The anti-gun crowd? No you will call the police, but the odds of law enforcement getting there before the intruder breaks in, are somewhere between zip and nada. Where does that leave you? On. Your. Own.
If cornered, be prepared to defend yourself. Odds are you are on your own. There may not be a police person close by. There may not even be a member of the "Let's Roll" tribe nearby.
Perhaps one should join the tribe.
I pray that few of us will ever encounter a nihilist or a jihadist bent on murder and destruction, but perhaps each of us should prepare for that possibility, not only by purchasing what may be required and honing one's skills at the firing range, but by making the decision not to be a helpless victim -- here, now, before the choice is forced on you.
This is a dangerous world; truth is, it always has been, despite what one might hear from the traditionalists who forget that Cain was a member of the blessed community of farmers.
Maybe we ought to become a nation of Todd Beamer's.
I totally agree with you Bubba. Do you do any martial arts? There is a lot of virtue in the marial arts. I try to watch martial arts training videos with my kids to teach them moves. Their aunt teaches them yoga poses, I take them running for physical conditioning.
I am mixed on C&C since I have a right to self defense. I can understand why law enforcement might want to know. That's why I am mixed. But that's C&C, there is nothing stopping me from hanging a desert eagle from my prayer rope or wearing a shoulder holster outside of my filthy rags. I think the extra clip holds only 10 rounds so it could serve as a good rosary replacement in a pinch.
You folks must live somewhere where it's at least possible to get permits. I'm in Chicago, where the law-abiding are not permitted to own firearms. Of any kind. What.So.Ever.

Cube, you're always loving that Desert Eagle. I imagine you prefer the 50 cal.
ReplyDeleteYes. I want one. I like the idea of a 50 cal pistol. They are too expensive to shoot. I think S&W has a 50 cal pistol too.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't stop the bad guys, of course.
