Here’s what it comes down to: indigent African American pregnant woman in D.C. will be told that if they decide to abort their baby, the government will pay for it. But if they persist in bringing their baby to term, the government will not help them to avoid the same lousy public schools that Barack and Michelle shunned for Sasha and Malia.
Either way, this sounds like a death warrant. That this cruel concept of choice—public funds for aborting the children of the poor but not a dime for school choice—is coming from the “champions” of the poor is all the more despicable. By contrast, they make ordinary rednecks look positively harmless.
Yeah, why don't the Obama's send their kids to the public schools? One of them has allergies--maybe that's it.
Well we all know what a bang-up job Obama and Bill Ayers did for education in Chicago. Did I say "bang-up job"? I meant miserable failure.
ReplyDeleteBut then again, it was never about teaching fascist white male stuff like reading, writing, math, science, etc. but about socialist indoctrination. By those standards, I guess it was a success:
Ayers was more interested in transforming Chicago's schools into vehicles for socialist revolution than in reading scores. He sought to use Annenberg's grant to fund his dream of radicalizing both teachers and students. Obama helped him toward that goal, gaining what he thought would be an important credential.
In other words, these people don't really want to give children a real education. They don't want these kids to learn to think. If they think for themselves, they may decide they don't need the Nanny State to take care of them.
Now the elite's kids (like Obama's kids) do need a real education. After all, *somebody's* got to rule over the serfs.
I loved Bill Ayers' speech on education - btw he calls the US "Northamerica" and calls Chavez "comrade" -- it's from his own blog lest you doubt me
