BTW, I meant to add that we had a Puerto Rican family in our church that looked very much like some of these "bumps," if you were implying that some of these people were illegal.
And due to the dubious modern practice of talking about a pregnant woman's "baby bump," I thought at first that you were promoting voting rights for the unborn. Perhaps abortion might be done away with that way....
Barb, I wasn't trying to make a point about illegals. So I changed the awkward title to another awkward title.
I did think about "baby bump". I really dislike that new slang term. It seems like another instance of objectification of the child, yet I doubt most users are conscious of it.
"Baby bump" doesn't bother me at all. It acknowledges that there's a baby in there...hence the bump. The bump's not a tumor, hernia, or wad of tissue. It's a baby, baby!
Love, love, love this commercial. Mitt, not so much. Romneycare and AGW are killing him for me.

ReplyDeleteAwesome commercial, BTW.
Diane, that makes sense. I suppose I'm being a curmudgeon here and overreacting to what's in vogue.
