Hey, that's me regurgitating something from a little over a year ago. I read it and got a big kick. I remember a guy, big sports fan, being all down in the dumps at the time. I said "Why did you think LeBron James would stick around Cleveland?" He pointed out that he has tattoos which read "Family" and "Loyalty". Oh, honestly....
Here's a good one for all the die hard LeBron James fans. No big tips for you suckas!
I can't blame anybody who wants out of Cleveland.
ReplyDeletePeople can choose to live wherever they like, but I love living here. No, I wouldn't live directly in the city, but I wouldn't live directly in the cities of Chicago, New York, etc. either.
ReplyDeleteMy husband waited tables for quite a while. He never waited on a celebrity, but in his experience, people who have worked or are working as waiters, hostesses, bartenders, etc., tip more. And waiters generally have to share out with the bartenders and hostesses at the end of the night, so keep that in mind when you tip also.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely true. As an ex-waitress, I always want to give more than 20% (if I can convince cheapskate hubby, lol). Waiting tables is incredibly hard work, and dealing with the public can be a real beeyotch.
In the Andre Agassi autobio (a good read, BTW), he tells the story on how he ran into Pete Sampras at a restaurant. Agassi saw Pete get his car from the valet, and lay a tip. On his way out of the restaurant, Agassi asked the valet how much Pete tipped him. Answer: One dollar.
