How prayers change over time
When we began our family vacation on the last Saturday in July, and each time we started off after the many input and output breaks, we would say our traveling prayer:
"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, keep us safe on our way."
As we traveled home yesterday, at some point around the 10-hour mark one letter of the prayer was changed. Of course this altered its meaning slightly, but may have increased its ardent sincerity:
"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, keep us sane on our way."
