You're not doing anything, look this up for me please

Hey, I'm too lazy to look this up right now, but I know that Chesterton wrote a Father Brown mystery where there was a 14-step program guy who freaks out because he's secretly an alcoholic. What's the name of that mystery? I'm pretty sure it's Father Brown and not the Hardy Boys.

Thanks in advance.

  1. Is a 14-step program anything like a 12-step program?

Because AA was founded in 1935 and GKC died in 1936, so if you're right it'll be one of the last stories.

I don't remember such a one myself, but I can't even remember whether it was Joe or Frank who was blond.

  2. Yeah, that's what I meant. Don't know why I wrote 14-step.

Thanks. The more I think about this, the more I think it wasn't GKC. It was on PBS. Doyle died in 1930, so I doubt it was Sherlock Holmes.
