Government-run Health Care Kills Again in UK
People should go to jail for this, hopefully they will. But one must admit that the system worked as intended; a cancer patient was eliminated from the system.
A man of 22 died in agony of dehydration after three days in a leading teaching hospital.
Kane Gorny was so desperate for a drink that he rang police to beg for their help.
They arrived on the ward only to be told by doctors that everything was under control.
The next day his mother Rita Cronin found him delirious and he died within hours.
She said nurses had failed to give him vital drugs which controlled fluid levels in his body. 'He was totally dependent on the nurses to help him and they totally betrayed him.'
Shades of Terri Schiavo...no wonder so many people who supported what was done to her support socialized "health" care.
ReplyDeleteI remember a story out of Britain a few months ago where patients were so desperate for water they were drinking out of their flower vases. And also one where patients are getting up and taking care of other patients because nobody comes to help them. I pray that doesn't happen here.

ReplyDeleteBut of course we'll be told, over and over again, that in Britain 1) everyone has access to "quality health care" (w/out saying whether this is high or low quality), and 2) they spend less per capita on health care than we do.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the second point, those "how much is spent on health care" calculations always avoid counting the infinite costs of health care that is simply not provided. IOW, the cost of poor Mr. Gorny's medicine should be counted as infinite -- it was available, but could not be had for any price.
