    Did he never knock out a band member with that microphone stand?

    I was just reading a month ago about a woman who went searching for her bio parents, and found her bio dad was Rod Stewart. He'd helped conceive her when he was about 17. Can you imagine that? Better than Liv Tyler, who grew up with her bio mom but didn't know her bio dad was Steven until she was at least in her teens, I think.

    Glad to see the contrapauli community still remembers its roots. Any post mentioning even a different Rod brings out the comments.

    I have wondered what's happened since BQOL shut down the blogging. Where is Rod Dreher? Perhaps he's somewhere in Shangri-La in some distant and verdant valley in Tibet researching something for BQOL. Or maybe he's staying at the Solovetsky Monastery, standing out there on the beach watching the ice on the White Sea and contemplating the answer to some very deep question.

    I miss him.
