Oh dear, I really liked the Barbapapas when I was a child. Yes, they were in this country, in English, although I usually read their books. Looking back, they look rather leftist, a whole living in peace and harmony and one with nature utopian ideal. Of course, the only book I really remember is the one that was against pollution, and that was written a lot closer to the time when the Cuyahoga river caught on fire....
"It is not our part here to take thought only for a season, or for a few lives of Men, or for a passing age of the world. We should seek a final end of this menace, even if we do not hope to make one." — Gandalf the Wizard, The Fellowship of the Ring
Ok, that was odd.
ReplyDeleteI'll add my own Happy New Year wishes to Pauli and all here, and provide a link to something that should
bring a smile.
Nice! Snow-Dub be da bomb.
