And that long, cold winter also was responsible for their outing of that Station Chief in Afghanistan. Chalk it up to a case of brain freeze. But Valerie Plame said that was just a little "whoopsy", predictably.
Agree with the sentiment, but the only way to do so would require Obama to have a conscience. Those who already care about Benghazi get it, and those who don't won't.
OTOH, I think the VA scandal might turn into a more politically costly scandal for the Dems. Turns out that the unions are big playas in VA hospitals (see today's WSJ column on that topic (behind the paywall), and constitute a massive roadblock in reform. The combination of the bipartisan hue and cry, huge public and media attention and outrage, Obamacare implications, and union intransigence and corruption, could make for a perfect storm.
"It is not our part here to take thought only for a season, or for a few lives of Men, or for a passing age of the world. We should seek a final end of this menace, even if we do not hope to make one." — Gandalf the Wizard, The Fellowship of the Ring
My own theory is that the unusually long and cold winter paralyzed the Obama administration's response to Benghazi.
