Oh, thank you Pauli! :-) I was wondering why I had so many listeners right now. I need to update the station badly, and they've just given me more diskspace, too, so I can add more songs.
Sorry about "Baker Street"...I have a weakness for some seventies music, plus I think that's one of the "sideloads" from Live 365's library...that is, it doesn't use any of my station's disk space. It's a good way to stretch the playlist a little.
True Colours by Split Enz is one of my all-time favorite albums. I'm happy you are enjoying the station! :-)
"Once in a lifetime"... the Heads were my favorite band for many years, I still have half their stuff on vinyl. I love this track for the excellent production and Tina Weymouth's genius 2-note bass line. Min-ism at it's best.
Every song on "Remain in Light" is an example of what new wave was supposed to be, IMHO, if you could make such a ridiculous statement with a straight face, which, obviously, I can't.
"It is not our part here to take thought only for a season, or for a few lives of Men, or for a passing age of the world. We should seek a final end of this menace, even if we do not hope to make one." — Gandalf the Wizard, The Fellowship of the Ring

ReplyDeleteI'm going to have the sax from Baker Street in my head for days, but you're welcome anyway.
ReplyDeleteI gotta get that Hives album. That rox.
You have good tastes in moosic.
OMG, I don't know the last time I heard Split Enz.
