Is President Obama a victim of Bush Derangement Syndrome?
Back in July 2007, Obama said that he would meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other tyrants without preconditions. Grownup squares like George W. Bush wouldn't talk to these guys, so as the avatar of the generation of hope and change, Obama would. Obama figured he was cool enough to get the mullahs to agree to renounce nuclear weapons and all that hate stuff.
And "all that hate stuff" would disappear if they decide we're cool, right? Because that's what teenagers do? Nice projection, but I'm afraid the people who hate us are adults.

ReplyDeletebtw, I'M GOING ON A TRIP. A TRIP WHERE I NEED PASSPORTS. soon i'll post a photo of my passports as proof that i'm going on a trip that requires passports. try to remain calm.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, here is some more good advice for you before you go on your trip. Make sure you publish when you are actually leaving and coming back that way burglars can break into your house and take some of your stuff. Maybe even steal your identity if they get lucky. Residential security systems are usually not a problem big obstacle, esp. if you are leaving for 4 or more days.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I remember stories about folks who would publish their vacation schedules in the newspaper classifieds and then get robbed blind. I always thought it represented just deserts for their bragging, which was the only possible purpose for their announcement.
that's why i only publish photos of my meals AFTER i've eaten them.

What's worse is the people who burgle houses where a death has occurred, while the relatives of the dead are at the calling hours or funeral. It's sad that you have to have a friend stay at the house of the deceased so the family can mourn without worrying about being robbed.
