Hah! Sorry--I did that whole lefty/hippie thing. So, yes, technically I fit that post-boomer definition -- born in 1951 -- but alas, I was counter-cultural for a while. My husband (then-boyfriend) snapped me out of it. Well, actually, I'd pretty much snapped out of it long before then. But, under boyfriend's influence, I did the near unthinkable for a Massachusetts native: I voted for Reagan in 1980.
That's a great site...thanks!
Diane
P.S. The girl in the post-boomer pic -- oh my gosh!! I had bangs exactly like that.
"It is not our part here to take thought only for a season, or for a few lives of Men, or for a passing age of the world. We should seek a final end of this menace, even if we do not hope to make one." — Gandalf the Wizard, The Fellowship of the Ring
LOL. That stuff dated reallllly fast.
ReplyDeleteI remember this from back in the day. Yes, I am a Boomer. Pass me my Geritol!
Diane, I bet you're a post-boomer rather than a boomer, just like me. Pauli is a Gen-Xer to be sure.
ReplyDeleteAnd here's why post-boomers rock.

Just checked out "Why Post-Boomers Rock." My husband is definitely a post-boomer!
DeleteYes, I'm a quintessential x-er. Born in the summer of love, baby. Actually, I'm 46 today!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, youngster!
DeleteHappy birthday! What Tom said. :D
DeleteWhat Tom and Diane said.
DeleteOh, to be 46 again. Enjoy!
Happy Birthday, dude!
ReplyDeleteSince you're about the same age as Dreher, is it okay if we think of you as the "control" sample? ;-)

As a birthday present, I give you this Shondell factoid from Wikipedia: Tommy James died after a concert in March 1970, but he got better. True story.
