Different Takes on the Overturn of Roe v. Wade

Bill Donohue comments in his latest press release that the vast majority did not support what the Roe and Casey decisions allowed, which was abortion through nine months with no restrictions." A viral TikTok video by someone named Michelle Rhodes expands on this point.

Basically the horrible awfulness of abortion has not only been tolerated by the left for 49 years, but it has been expanded, exported, celebrated, recommended for every women and every situation, it has been propagandized by the liberal media which never covers anything negative about abortion, and we could go on and on about it. The result is that the defenders of abortion are now unveiling themselves as the most vile, hateful, violent people in our country and they are burning down churches, threatening to assasinate justices and making asses of themselves in the streets upon the news of the overturn.

This can be juxtaposed with the completely different take which you will continually find on Mark Shea's Daily Stumble blog. The enemy, according to Shea, is the prolife movement which has "turned itself into a monomaniac heresy at war with almost the entire social teaching of the Church and using the unborn as human shields for all that." To support his take on Roe v. Wade's overturn being a mistake, he cherry-picks some statistics and quotes some mean, personal insults some idiot made to him. He rarely if ever points out that abortion is pretty singularly horrible, and that anything which steps toward eliminating the procedure should be applauded. The tactic is to assert that the left is right about literally everything else — guns, welfare, immigration, tax policy, environment — and then, weighing all things to a nicety in the scales of his malice toward prolifers, he finds them deficient. Ergo, the 6-3 Dobbs decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is forever tainted by those who worked hard to bring it about, and he just cannot be happy about it.

Or... I might be going out on a limb here, but maybe Shea is butthurt because he often predicted — as he did in this post — that this day would never come, insinuating that the "Right Wing Cult Leadership" would give "nothing in return" for the slavish loyalty of religious conservatives.

This is, of course, completely counter to the official position of the Church which can be read in this statement on the USCCB page.

“This is a historic day in the life of our country, one that stirs our thoughts, emotions and prayers. For nearly fifty years, America has enforced an unjust law that has permitted some to decide whether others can live or die; this policy has resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of preborn children, generations that were denied the right to even be born.

“America was founded on the truth that all men and women are created equal, with God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This truth was grievously denied by the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade ruling, which legalized and normalized the taking of innocent human life. We thank God today that the Court has now overturned this decision. We pray that our elected officials will now enact laws and policies that promote and protect the most vulnerable among us.

In fact, I received a link to this page in an email from the USCCB Marriage group on Friday, June 24. The USCCB is often said to be left of center and I generally think it is a bad idea to generalize about the Bishops since there are close to 200 of them in the United States and they obviously vary in their political ideas. Anyway, the subject of the email was "Praise God! Roe and Casey have been overturned!"

I am not sure in what universe a serious Catholic has to live to have a case of the sads about this news. Unless one puts being a committed leftist ahead of being Catholic.

Thank you, God, Supreme Court, Trump, RBG, Mitch McConnell, etc.

I feel bad I did not post this a few days ago when it happened, but I was really busy. But obviously the fall of the Roe v Wade decision is pretty much more important than any other news, or any opinion of mine, or petty like or dislikes. In fact, I really can't say it any better than this:

What a day! Of course this only means that abortion policy is now up to each state to regulate as it sees fit. There’s lots of work left to be done for the unborn.

Let us be thankful for all the faithful men and women and even children who marched, who prayed, who donated, and who sacrificed over the past 49 years to make this day a reality. Let us be thankful for the courage of Justices Alito, Barrett, Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and even Roberts, despite his waffling.

Let us be thankful for Donald Trump; I didn’t vote for him in part because I didn’t think he would do anything on abortion in the courts; I have scarcely been happier to admit I was wrong. This would not have happened without his presidency. And thank you, Federalist Society!

I am not a Catholic, but I want to give special thanks to the Catholic Church in the United States, for never once failing to fight for life. Thanks to to all the churches and church leaders who stood publicly for life. In America, the Catholics were always there, without fail. Thank you, National Right To Life and all other pro-life lobbyists.

It is always good to see people on the prolife side putting aside differences to give credit where it is due, so it is good to see Mr. Dreher doing so here.

Also a special thanks to my own mother who died on February 3, 2020. She always said what everyone else in the prolife movement said: Roe will fall, but that will not mean it is time to rest. But she worked at a crisis pregnancy center, went to the marches, and got tons of people involved in the effort including my brother and me. So she gets to rest now.

More Good News

This is good news for the gene pool, potentially.

Pro-abortion women are threatening to go on a sex strike following the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. However, pro-life Americans exposed a major flaw in the abortion ultimatum by liberals. In a rare instance, pro-life Americans completely agree with pro-abortion activists for them to practice abstinence.

However, pro-life Americans pointed out why the sex strike proposal completely backfires on liberals....

This is not so much as a backfire as it is a misfire. Maybe this will be a good penance for pro-choice men who have been enabling and benefitting from legalized abortion for almost 50 years now.

Here are some of the responses, all much more obvious than witty:
  • "Do all these women who say they’re going on a sex strike realize that they’ve now solved their abortion problem?"
  • "That moment when you realize if you go on #SexStrike you won’t need an abortion."
  • "Nicely done ladies! Abstaining from sex prevents an unwanted pregnancy and abortion."
  • "To people tweeting this, your terms are acceptable. We actually have no issue with you taking responsibility for once in your lives and not just having meaningless sex that ends with you taking an innocent human life."
  • "I don’t understand the logic behind going on a #sexstrike. Who exactly are you hurting by doing this aside from yourself and your partner? And if you love abortions the world is probably better off if you don’t have sex anyway."
  • "I am wondering if these ladies recognize that their pro-choice/abortion husbands would be the victims, while the pro-life husband and wives could protest this movement by simply having sex. Too Hilarious!"

Pro-abort advocates violence

Quotes: "I'm advocating for violence. I am advocating for violence. Light it on fire."

It is like she is drawing a straight line between abortion and violence, saying "I am not allowed to destroy a life in abortion anymore, so I will destroy other lives." Wow, who would ever have thought that abortion causes violence?

What does it mean to be Pro-Life?

What does it mean to be Pro-Life? Let's see what Catholic Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York thinks. From his letter:

As soon as Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement, pro-abortion groups began lobbying the U.S. Senate to reject any nominee who does not promise to endorse Roe v. Wade. While the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops does not support or oppose the confirmation of any presidential nominee, we can and should raise grave concerns about a confirmation process which is being grossly distorted by efforts to subject judicial nominees to a litmus test of support for Roe v. Wade. And we must pray.

Each Friday, from August 3 – September 28, 2018, I urge all people of good will to join me in prayer that this change in the U.S. Supreme Court will move our nation closer to the day when every human being is protected in law and welcomed in life. The USCCB Call to Prayer network will share prayers and educational resources and an invitation to fast on Fridays for this intention.

May Our Lady of Guadalupe intercede for the healing of our nation and our people from decades of abortion on demand.

That clears it up for me, especially the last paragraph. Thanks for your words of teaching, Cardinal Dolan.

Holding up a mirror to Planned Parenthood

I'm very busy today, but I feel like this post is necessary to read and assimilate for everyone concerned with the fighting the moral war we've been fighting since Eve bit the apple. It's especially important for all Christians and other Pro-life people upon the release of the latest video from the Center for Medical Progress to agree that the undercover work they do is good and just and justified. Here's the meat of it:

Here are just a few of the implications of verbal pacifism. On that theory, the following activities would be intrinsically evil, just like using child suicide bombers against the Nazis — and it would be better to die, and let millions of others be tortured, raped or killed, rather than engage in them. In fact, doing any one of them would be a sin sufficient to damn one’s soul to hell:
  • Deceiving the Pharaoh who wished to kill all the newborn male Hebrews — as the midwives did in Exodus 1:15-21. (The Bible tells us that “God dealt well with the midwives.”)
  • Deceiving priest-hunters by using assumed names, as Jesuit missionaries did when they ministered in Reformation England, and St. Miguel Pro did in Mexico in the 1920s.
  • Deceiving the Nazis to rescue Jews from the gas chambers, as Oskar Schindler did.
  • Distributing false baptismal certificates so that Jews could pass as Gentiles and escape extermination, as John XXIII did during World War II.
  • Using false documents and false statements in a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, like the conspirators working with Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who were aided by Pope Pius XII (who passed their messages via Vatican couriers).
  • Deceiving the brutal dictators who hoped to hunt down and torture leftist priests, as Pope Francis did while serving as Archbishop of Buenos Aires.
  • Posing as a child in online forums in order to catch child porn distributors and pedophiles, as police routinely do — having found it the only effective means of capturing such predators.
  • Pretending to be an Islamist, in order to infiltrate terrorist organizations like al-Qaida and ISIS, as CIA operatives do.
  • Misleading criminal suspects about the evidence you have, as police do to obtain truthful confessions without coercion.
  • Infiltrating an abortion business like Planned Parenthood to see if they are breaking laws about statutory rape and organ trafficking, as Live Action and the Center for Medical Progress did.
Any moral philosophy that claims that all these activities are intrinsically evil has got some explaining to do. By insisting on premises that yield such repugnant conclusions, and claiming that the only alternative is a crass and unprincipled pragmatism, verbal pacifists are cutting off their nose to spite their face.

I was so glad to see clarity provided on the morality of some types of trickery that I sent an email to the author. Here's an abbreviated form of the email:

Excellent work, John! I honestly don't know what Mark Shea's deal is. What is really going on here is that people are holding up a MIRROR to the face of Planned Parenthood, they're looking in, seeing the ugliness and saying "YEP. THAT'S ME. THAT'S US. WE *OWN* IT, WE'RE PROUD OF IT." Picasso said something like "art is a lie which helps us see the truth". Well, what CMP does is ARTWORK.

Here's a few other points I've thought of in the past to counter Shea's absurdity and obsession:

  • Acts 5:7-9: St. Peter dissimulates and sets up Sapphira for the Holy Spirit to whack her. So... St. Peter tempted her to sin?
  • I Kings 3:24-28: King Solomon tricks a hooker into revealing that she is not the mother, and that she's OK with murdering an innocent child.
These events are held up in sacred scripture as truly right and just. And of course there are many other examples from scripture and elsewhere in history.

The second example is particularly apropos to CMP — they are basically being Solomon in the modern day.

Keep up the good work.

P. P. is in deep Doo Doo

"Round it goes until the money's all gone" as the song goes. And it looks like the sugar daddies are starting to leave Planned Parenthood. Excerpt:

The news organization Daily Signal contacted several companies on the list asking about their purported donations to Planned Parenthood in light of videos revealing the organization’s harvesting of fetal organs. Representatives from Xerox, Ford, and Coca-Cola deserted the abortion giant, saying they were “incorrectly listed as donors… They said their companies do not contribute to Planned Parenthood and do not match employee gifts to the organization. All three said they have contacted or will contact Planned Parenthood to be removed from its website.”

Maybe I'll call Microsoft later to see if they're like Coke in more ways than one.

A Tale of Two Speeches: Wendy Davis Clowned and Wendy Davis Clowns

You've come a long way baby, a long way down, that is. And that is saying something considering how low you started, Ms. Davis. From inflated abortion shill, to making fun of crippled people, to Lonestar Laughingstock.

I don't know which Wendy Davis concession speech is more enjoyable. The fake one posted by Red State yesterday, or the real one from last night. But it all depends on what you want to laugh at. If you want to laugh at what she would say if she were given some type of truth drug, read the Red State Parody. Excerpt:

Thank you, thank you to all of you for coming out here to show your support for our campaign. I know many of you have spent many long hours block walking, standing for hours in the rain at campaign events, running errands to make sure the campaign ran smoothly, standing up for Texas values and doing all the other things that (may I remind you) my opponent is physically unable to do. Although the people of Texas have sadly and emphatically rejected my candidacy, I believe strongly that all of you standing here can help me continue the important work we started.

I am proud of the fact that we ran a positive, issues-oriented campaign, and avoided the very obvious temptation to repeatedly make fun of the fact that my opponent literally can’t walk. I reject the contention raised by literally everyone in the media of all political stripes that many of my ads, speeches, and tweets indicated at least a subconscious bias against handicapped people. I am glad we were able to put that to rest when I dragged those crippled people out on stage with me to prove that some of my best friends are gimps. I am also disappointed that the people of Texas saw fit to elect a man who is opposed to interracial marriage, presumably even his own.

I believe that our campaign, though impressively unsuccessful, has demonstrated that even here in Texas, we are making great strides for women’s equality. I am proud that I was able to show both with my personal life and my campaign, that women are perfectly capable of convincing gullible men to give them large amounts of money for no discernible reason whatsoever.

I strongly believe that we have shown that by doing this, there is nothing we can’t accomplish. Except of course being elected to statewide office. That one is still a head scratcher.

And if you want to watch her pathetically fall apart in the midst of making a clown of herself (once more) then watch this:

"...Maria... ...I loved her... ...she sold her truck buy a shaved ice machine..." Gawwwwwwwd... Wendy Davis was born to filibuster. God have mercy on the men in her life....

Newsflash: Abortion isn't that popular

OK... obligatory language alert in the following post. Please mind that it is all warranted.

Perhaps this is the best illustration yet of what has been the characteristic failure to connect on the part of the Democrats this season. Mark Udall — who has been dubbed "Mark Uterus" due to his obsession with the female reproductive system — was heckled by his own millionaire donor:

Then, finally, came the only reference to policy in Udall’s speech. “And by the way, I’m proud to stand with Colorado’s women,” he said, almost as an aside. “I’m proud to stand for reproductive freedom.”

An angry voice from the crowd jeered: “That’s not the only thing you stand for! Jesus Christ!”

Udall turned to a short, dark man on his left. The senator look genuinely stunned. “I’m sorry?”

“That’s not the only thing you stand for!” The heckler was Leo Beserra, a 73-year-old who made millions on Wall Street and, since the early 1990s, has shared a generous slice of that wealth with Colorado Democrats.

Beserra’s grievance – that the senator’s narrow focus on abortion has backfired – is shared by others in the party, but rarely voiced in public and never in the middle of the candidate’s campaign speech.

Well good for Leo Baserra. He has been a big rich dupe for supporting Democrats; maybe he is beginning to realize that now. Later he vented again to the press:

Minutes after interrupting the senator’s speech, he vented, once again, to the Guardian. “I’m trying to figure out who in the hell decided this was how the campaign was supposed to go.”

He said he had just watched a Sunday morning talkshow in which Udall was ridiculed.

“Who is running the worst campaign? Him. Because fucking abortion is all he talks about. He should not talk about it any more whatsoever. There are so many other issues.”

Referring to the 2012 election strategy, Beserra added: “Two years ago it might have made sense. But didn’t they get an inkling that it wasn’t working [this year]?”

Yeah, Leo, well we've hated fucking abortion for a long time, and we're disgusted with people promoting it like Udall and literally taking advantage of the women who feel like they are forced into it by sick people selling the culture of death and reaping the benefits of the abortion cash machine. It's time to send this guy packing so he can go hang in the Nighthawks painting with Abortion Barbie and Abortion Ken.

This video is NSFW, but it is the perfect response to Udall.

What do you want? Abortion fucks up everything and everybody it touches.

Hold Pro-Abortion Politicians Accountable

Here's an email I got yesterday from the National Pro-Life Alliance. If you can throw some funds their way, please do.

Pauli --

"Many hands make light work . . ."

. . . That's pretty much the whole idea behind grassroots mobilization.

NPLA doesn't have the powerful interests spending hundreds of millions. (And we don't need them.)

We have supporters like you, and at big fundraising deadlines, we're absolutely relying on you to come through and make a donation.

Can we count on you, Pauli?

According to our records associated with this exact email address, here's what we have marked down for you:

-- 2014 Election Mobilization Program: Not yet
-- Suggested Action: Donate $5 or more today.

Every day when I come to work, I see why grassroots organizing matters. It's about building relationships, and empowering everyday Americans to stand up and be heard.

It's truly inspiring.

But when we're facing a huge budget deadline like Thursday's, it's also incredibly nerve-wracking.

Our grassroots programs depend on support from folks like you -- anyone who is ready to take action across the country.

We set a goal of reaching $43,000 before Thursday at midnight (24 hours). That breaks down to about 16 donations from . We can do that, right?

Every donation here goes a long way. (And it's my job to make sure of that!)

Before our critical fundraising deadline on Thursday night, please chip in $5 or more:

http://www.nationalprolifealliance.com/accountable-2014.aspx

Thanks,

-- Jenni

Toobin makes two large errors

“You’re entitled to your own opinion, but you’re not entitled to your own facts.” This quote is attributed to Daniel Patrick Moynihan, and it's true no matter who said it first. With that in mind, we have to make some corrections to Jeffrey Toobin's article praising Ruth Ginsberg for being, oh, so smart and prescient in her Hobby Lobby dissent.

There was an exemption already for religious institutions. Hobby Lobby, a closely held corporation, is a secular, for-profit business, but the Court held that because the owners of Hobby Lobby held a sincere religious belief that certain forms of birth control caused abortions, they could deny employer-paid insurance coverage for them.

Is this just bad writing? Unclear. It's not a "religious belief" at all that "certain forms of birth control caused abortions" or, I think he means to write cause abortions. But syntax errors aside, there are certain forms of birth control which cause abortions. The links here would be useful to Mr. Toobin as sort of a science primer.

One of the problems with the whole debate and discussion is that "birth control" is somewhat of a misnomer. Birth prevention is really the goal of both contraception and abortion. The latter is more morally egregious than the former, but those who approve of contraception but are against abortion may want to consider the continued use of the softer phrase "birth control" as something which dilutes the strength of pro-life/pro-child argument against the anti-child mentality, or the contraceptive mentality as it is sometimes called.

Here's the next "mistake":

What about religious individuals who say that they have sincere objections to conducting business relationships with gay people or immigrants?

Oh stop it. You obviously mean, Mr. Toobin, to indicate illegal immigrants, so why not use the word? The use of the single, neutral word "immigrants" is meant to suppress or diminish the amount of eye-roll from the general public who are tired of the gay whining.

This line should offend legal immigrants tremendously because it implicitly lumps them together with illegals. Why? Because no mainstream religious denomination objects to legal immigration. This article is obviously written from a biased point-of-view, but these errors are either due to sloppiness and laziness or malevolence and they need to be pointed out whichever is the case.

Rand Paul is OK with Abortifacient Drugs

From LifeSite news. Another reason I don't want to support this guy and don't think he merits any consideration as a presidential candidate.

As a doctor, "Rand Paul likely knows that the most likely effect of the high-dose Levonorgestrel-only contraceptive 'Plan B' is abortifacient,” Krista Thomas, communications manager of Human Life International (HLI) told LifeSiteNews. “Though it also has potential effects of thickening of the cervical mucus and prevention of ovulation, let’s face it, this drug is designed to be taken after sex, so the likelihood of these effects stopping pregnancy is very low.”

“Early abortions are its primary, and perhaps only, effect,” she said.

One of the world's leading authorities on the morning after pill – Dr. James Trussell, the director of Princeton’s Office of Population Research – has said that women must be told of the potential for abortion as part of ethical treatment. “To make an informed choice, women must know that [emergency contraceptive pills]…prevent pregnancy primarily by delaying or inhibiting ovulation and inhibiting fertilization, but may at times inhibit implantation of a fertilized egg in the endometrium,” he wrote.

That was further confirmed by a 2014 report from the Charlotte Lozier Institute that found all forms of emergency contraception, as well as the IUD, can cause an early abortion.

So Doctor Paul Junior is likely lying when he says "Hey, people, chill out. It's a pill, therefore it's just birth control." Great. He is slowly turning into as disagreeable a candidate as his whack-job father.

42 Botched Chemical Abortions in Ohio

From our friends at Ohio Right to Life:

42 Botched Chemical Abortions Reported to State Medical Board
Planned Parenthood Defies FDA Health Protocol for Abortion Pill RU-486

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONTACT:
Laura Beth Kirsop
DATE: Thursday, Aug 22, 2013
PHONE:
(614) 547-0099 ext. 309

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Today, Ohio Right to Life urged Attorney General Mike DeWine to expedite the litigation against Planned Parenthood and its practice of off-label prescribing abortion pill RU-486 (mifepristone) in Ohio. This request comes in light of 42 reports of failed uses of the drug in the state.

The Food and Drug Administration recommends that RU-486 (commonly referred to as a chemical abortion) be administered in two doses orally and in the presence of a physician. The FDA approved RU-486 only through 49 days of pregnancy. However, contrary to FDA protocol, Planned Parenthood prescribes chemical abortions through 63 days (9 weeks) of pregnancy. Furthermore, the organization sends women home to complete the chemical abortion themselves without a physician present.

Recently, Ohio Right to Life, via a public records request, obtained 42 reports of botched RU-486 attempts in Ohio. Several involved moderate to severe bleeding and included incidences of hematometra (an accumulation of blood in the uterus). Thirty-five total cases involved incomplete abortions. Women were required to return to the abortion clinic to have the abortions completed surgically.

"Planned Parenthood's reckless, off-label prescribing of RU-486 is no better than the 'back alleys' that the abortion industry references to scare women into supporting abortions on demand," said Laura Beth Kirsop, Director of Communications at Ohio Right to Life. "These reports sadly showcase the hazards that at-home and unsupervised, chemical abortions pose to women's health. Yet Planned Parenthood remains in direct and reckless conflict with the FDA, carelessly sending women home for unsafe, 'do-it-yourself' abortions."

In the case that RU-486 fails, Planned Parenthood informs women that they will need to undergo a surgical abortion. This is because the chemical abortion can cause serious birth defects if the pregnancy continues.

One of the public documents noted that one woman never returned to Planned Parenthood for a follow-up to confirm that the abortion was completed. Regarding this report, Kirsop said, "I have to ask the frightening question of where that child is today. Was she born? Maybe not, but maybe. And if she was born, what kind of birth defects would she have sustained because of Planned Parenthood's recklessness? The point is, according to public documents, Planned Parenthood doesn't know, and thanks to their scandalous fight against the enforcement of FDA protocol in Ohio, they don't have to know."

In 2004, the Ohio Legislature passed a law requiring that physicians comply with FDA guidelines for RU-486. The law remains embroiled in the courts because of challenges brought by Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio. In October 2012, a panel of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the 2004 Ohio law. Planned Parenthood of Ohio has since challenged the decision, asking for reconsideration.

"RU-486 has already killed fourteen women and injured more than 2,000 women in the U.S.," said Kirsop. "The longer Planned Parenthood dodges the enforcement of FDA protocol, the more women's lives and health are put at risk. Ohio Right to Life urges Attorney General Mike DeWine to put an end to Planned Parenthood's game and expedite the litigation of the chemical abortion case."

Ed Fitzgerald is "Abortion Ken"

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed Fitzgerald is a "pro-abortion Catholic", a Souper Candidate as my friend Dan Coyne calls such Catholics, and he's making fighting abortion restrictions passed by Ohio lawmakers and signed by Governor Kasich a big part of his 2014 bid for Ohio Governor. Here's proof on his own campaign page. Here's how it starts:

If you care about women’s health, you have to abhor the anti-abortion restrictions inserted into the two-year, $62 billion budget bill that Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed into law.

You really don't need to read any further than that to peg Fitzgerald as pro-abortion. But to leave no shadow of a doubt, Fitzgerald is also proposing a statewide pro-abortion ballet initiative for 2014.

Meanwhile, his presumed Democratic opponent, Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald, recently urged a ballot fight over restrictions on abortion enacted in the new state budget by Republican lawmakers and Mr. Kasich. If successful, that question would appear on the ballot at the same time he and Mr. Kasich will.

So it seems like he has pretty firmly hitched his wagon to Planned Parenthood and the abortion industrial complex. They will have no trouble ponying up funds for this campaign. At least Fitzgerald is not really wearing a mask. He's another fake Catholic hoping no one cares or notices. Or says anything. If Wendy Davis is Abortion Barbie, then without a doubt, Ed Fitzgerald is Abortion Ken.

Wendy Davis is Abortion Barbie.

From LiveAction. Erick Erickson can really peg it sometimes, now Wendy Davis is Abortion Barbie as sure as Tony Stark is Iron Man. Here's his blog post summarizing it, I didn't have time to hunt down his original tweet.

The left is in a tizzy on twitter for my referring to pink shoes wearing Texas State Senator Wendy Davis as “Abortion Barbie.”

It sums her up perfectly. All the nation knows about Wendy Davis is that she is ignorant of the horrors of Kermit Gosnell, wears pink shoes, and filibustered legislation to save the innocent in Texas. She joined the long line of Democrats before her to oppose legislation to protect other people while using property rights arguments to do so.

The media would prefer to focus on her blonde hair, her great outfits, and her pink shoes than on the procedure she wants to protect. That procedure, late term abortion, is opposed by a majority of women and men.

Abortion Barbie fits perfectly and I hope that moniker haunts her on the campaign trail. She is, after all, intent on building a national name for herself through abortion and pink shoes. I’m sure MSNBC will send her tampon earrings to go with the other accessories.

As an aside, one of the most hilarious bits of this is seeing liberals proclaim all references to someone as “Barbie” sexist. Really?

Too good. That last link about how they called Sarah Palin "Caribou Barbie" should shut everyone on the left up. And anyway, isn't Barbie supposed to be blond?

Young mom "comes out" as Pro-Life

Great story. She was afraid her Pro-Life views might offend her liberal parents. After all, they wanted her to get an abortion when she got pregnant at 17 years of age. Excerpt:

Sorry to break the news, folks. I’m pro-life for many, many reasons. Yes, I do believe that the Bible is clear about this issue. But for me, I just have a hard time ignoring the scientific facts. I have a hard time believing that the testimonies of people who have worked in the abortion industry are “fake.” I know that those pictures of aborted children aren’t Photoshopped. I know countless women who regret their abortions. My mother-in-law hung out with Norma McCorvey, aka Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade. Norma, who helped make abortion legal, is now pro-life!

I mean, come on, guys. I have yet to meet someone who has made the switch from pro-life to pro-choice and has medical evidence to back up his or her claim.
