"Things are going to start happening to me now!"

Our friend H. M. Stuart suggested that this link announcing the Big Little Way sort of goes with the following clip from The Jerk.

Or, is it Little Big Way? I can never remember.

"I'm in print!!"

Pope Francis I

President Me

Never mind the sequester.  Obama has now taken on a new job, namely lecturing the Church on "the central message of the Gospel":

"My hope is, based on what I know about the Catholic Church and the terrific work that they've done around the world and certainly in this country, you know, helping those who are less fortunate, is that you have a pope who sustains and maintains what I consider the central message of the Gospel that we treat everybody as children of God and that we love them the way Jesus Christ taught us to love them."

P.S.  As previously mentioned, I've undertaken reading An Introduction to Christianity by B16.  Fascinating, and humbling about how little I knew (and how little I still know).  Not to judge, but reading even a part of that work underscores how Obama ought to be embarrassed by his shallowness -- but he  apparently doesn't know enough to be embarrassed.  But it's part and parcel of Liberation Theology -- "the primacy of politics and economics . . . as the real powers that bring about salvation".

P.P.S.  BTW, the first part of An Introduction to Christianity is an education on the meaning of "I believe" in the Creed.  And, by extension, the rationale behind its change in the Mass.

Mayor Bloomberg launches effort to ban Pokemon cards with more than 50 hit points

Rumor is that he floated this idea recently, the whole standard "Who really needs a Pokemon with more than 50 hit points?"

Man, what's next? He has crossed the line here. Don't laugh; most people who care about this aren't old enough to vote. He won't be laughing either if he tries to screw with my Raichu.

Pinball machines are next. he wants bumpers to be 75 points maximum.

RAICHU! RAICHU!

Blog Mathematics

When you have limited time, you have to use bloggers math to decide how to post on multiple topics at one time. Plus I know you're all too busy to read my crap all day long. So, for example, adding this story about John Cusack calling Obama an asshole to this story about rabbits chewing through ignition wires at Denver Airport yields the following, much more interesting, video:

Stop reading this blog...

You need to be following #sequestertales on Twitter. Jonah G is killing me (and trying to eat my pancreas, LOL.)

It's just like abstinence. Works every time it's tried.

Rand Paul: "We have to start cutting back."

I'm really starting to like Senator Rand Paul. Here's his take on the sequester. Excerpt:

President Obama has dramatically expanded our federal government, and the American taxpayers should not have to endure more tax increases to fund it.

We have to start cutting back.

The forced sequester is not the most ideal scenario, which is why I have an alternative plan that invokes targeted spending to eliminate any threat of layoffs.

President Obama has provoked a sense of unrest within our nation by using outlandish rhetoric and making false claims about the effects of sequestration.

As opposed to stirring the pot, he should attempt to solve the problem.

What President Obama needs to realize is his fiscal cliffs, ceilings and sequesters ruin American confidence and make people wonder if we are working in their best interests.

As Peggy Noonan of the Wall Street Journal pointed out, "Government freakout carries a price. It wears people down. It doesn't inject a sense of energy, purpose or confidence in those who do business in America. It does the opposite."

I trust that the high information reader here already know that Rand Paul gave back $600,000.00 to the treasury because his office said they could get by without it. That is leading by example. I believe this is the second time he's done it--the first time the amount was around $500,000.00. I heard that on Dennis Miller last year.

That's another thing I like. Senator Paul goes on all the conservative talk shows I listen to. Michael Medved, Dennis Miller, Hugh Hewitt, etc. Yes, he has been on Alex Jones's show, also, but I'll give him bug kudos if he can bring some troglodytes into the political mainstream world in which the good Senator seems to live and work.
