Snap disabled for now
I had Snap installed here which gives you those cool preview windows, but it seemed to just slow everything down. So I've disabled it for now. Maybe I did it wrong. At any rate, I like it (first saw it on Roger's site) and I'll reinstall it if it speeds up in the future, which is what usually happens with web applications when you give the developers some time.
I'm glad ya did, I hate it, I find it terribly annoying and I think it takes away from a nice looking site...
ReplyDeleteAnd you have a nice looking site, leave it disabled, or remover it..
Just my opinion..
Thanks, Fred; like I said - maybe it will "perfected" later -- I'd like it if it were smarter too, if you could maybe turn it on at will for certain sites. Also if the call-outs could be kind of transparent......
ReplyDeleteAnyway, dittoes on annoying.
I believe it's possible for visitors to disable it for their own computer.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I still like the feature.
The thing about it is that if you have a slower connection or are experiencing any slowness at all Snap takes it to a crawl. I was having router problem earlier today, basically my router was slowly going bad, long story. But now my connection is screaming and sites like Roger's are no problemo. I don't know.... I think I'll leave it off for awhile though.
