Swing that bird

I really like the groove of this version of Birdland. It's a totally different feel than the studio version on Heavy Weather.



Jaco's harmonics are just the shit, man.

    That's great. And you're right, it's a lot more relaxed than the studio version.

    Kathleen, I don't know, but everybody else has. I guess it's on my list. There was this woman in her late thirties who used to hang around our band a lot and try to score us. She was the first person to sing the praises of Joni Mitchell. Maybe that left a bad taste. Forgive me, I was about 22 at the time.

    well, i'm in my early forties but yeah, i hang around 22 year olds and "try to score them". all joni mitchell fans do.
