A Tale of Two Speeches: Wendy Davis Clowned and Wendy Davis Clowns

You've come a long way baby, a long way down, that is. And that is saying something considering how low you started, Ms. Davis. From inflated abortion shill, to making fun of crippled people, to Lonestar Laughingstock.

I don't know which Wendy Davis concession speech is more enjoyable. The fake one posted by Red State yesterday, or the real one from last night. But it all depends on what you want to laugh at. If you want to laugh at what she would say if she were given some type of truth drug, read the Red State Parody. Excerpt:

Thank you, thank you to all of you for coming out here to show your support for our campaign. I know many of you have spent many long hours block walking, standing for hours in the rain at campaign events, running errands to make sure the campaign ran smoothly, standing up for Texas values and doing all the other things that (may I remind you) my opponent is physically unable to do. Although the people of Texas have sadly and emphatically rejected my candidacy, I believe strongly that all of you standing here can help me continue the important work we started.

I am proud of the fact that we ran a positive, issues-oriented campaign, and avoided the very obvious temptation to repeatedly make fun of the fact that my opponent literally can’t walk. I reject the contention raised by literally everyone in the media of all political stripes that many of my ads, speeches, and tweets indicated at least a subconscious bias against handicapped people. I am glad we were able to put that to rest when I dragged those crippled people out on stage with me to prove that some of my best friends are gimps. I am also disappointed that the people of Texas saw fit to elect a man who is opposed to interracial marriage, presumably even his own.

I believe that our campaign, though impressively unsuccessful, has demonstrated that even here in Texas, we are making great strides for women’s equality. I am proud that I was able to show both with my personal life and my campaign, that women are perfectly capable of convincing gullible men to give them large amounts of money for no discernible reason whatsoever.

I strongly believe that we have shown that by doing this, there is nothing we can’t accomplish. Except of course being elected to statewide office. That one is still a head scratcher.

And if you want to watch her pathetically fall apart in the midst of making a clown of herself (once more) then watch this:

"...Maria... ...I loved her... ...she sold her truck buy a shaved ice machine..." Gawwwwwwwd... Wendy Davis was born to filibuster. God have mercy on the men in her life....

The Wendy Davis Hat Trick

There have been 3 articles in the last several days about Wendy Davis's failing, flailing campaign that have got me to first shake my head, then cringe, and finally to drop my jaw in disbelief. Here they are:

Head Shake: Wendy Davis is Selling Baby Onesies

Cringe: Wendy Davis Questions Greg Abbott’s Support For Interracial Marriage When He’s Married To A Hispanic Woman

Jaw Drop: Wendy Davis Attacks Abbott With Dildos (Yes, dildos. Warning: the article also mentions "blowjobs" and how horrible it is that Abbott is against them also.)

You can't make this stuff up.

Picture hat tip goes to Legal Insurrection. Great shot, guys.

Ed Fitzgerald is "Abortion Ken"

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed Fitzgerald is a "pro-abortion Catholic", a Souper Candidate as my friend Dan Coyne calls such Catholics, and he's making fighting abortion restrictions passed by Ohio lawmakers and signed by Governor Kasich a big part of his 2014 bid for Ohio Governor. Here's proof on his own campaign page. Here's how it starts:

If you care about women’s health, you have to abhor the anti-abortion restrictions inserted into the two-year, $62 billion budget bill that Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed into law.

You really don't need to read any further than that to peg Fitzgerald as pro-abortion. But to leave no shadow of a doubt, Fitzgerald is also proposing a statewide pro-abortion ballet initiative for 2014.

Meanwhile, his presumed Democratic opponent, Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald, recently urged a ballot fight over restrictions on abortion enacted in the new state budget by Republican lawmakers and Mr. Kasich. If successful, that question would appear on the ballot at the same time he and Mr. Kasich will.

So it seems like he has pretty firmly hitched his wagon to Planned Parenthood and the abortion industrial complex. They will have no trouble ponying up funds for this campaign. At least Fitzgerald is not really wearing a mask. He's another fake Catholic hoping no one cares or notices. Or says anything. If Wendy Davis is Abortion Barbie, then without a doubt, Ed Fitzgerald is Abortion Ken.

Wendy Davis is Abortion Barbie.

From LiveAction. Erick Erickson can really peg it sometimes, now Wendy Davis is Abortion Barbie as sure as Tony Stark is Iron Man. Here's his blog post summarizing it, I didn't have time to hunt down his original tweet.

The left is in a tizzy on twitter for my referring to pink shoes wearing Texas State Senator Wendy Davis as “Abortion Barbie.”

It sums her up perfectly. All the nation knows about Wendy Davis is that she is ignorant of the horrors of Kermit Gosnell, wears pink shoes, and filibustered legislation to save the innocent in Texas. She joined the long line of Democrats before her to oppose legislation to protect other people while using property rights arguments to do so.

The media would prefer to focus on her blonde hair, her great outfits, and her pink shoes than on the procedure she wants to protect. That procedure, late term abortion, is opposed by a majority of women and men.

Abortion Barbie fits perfectly and I hope that moniker haunts her on the campaign trail. She is, after all, intent on building a national name for herself through abortion and pink shoes. I’m sure MSNBC will send her tampon earrings to go with the other accessories.

As an aside, one of the most hilarious bits of this is seeing liberals proclaim all references to someone as “Barbie” sexist. Really?

Too good. That last link about how they called Sarah Palin "Caribou Barbie" should shut everyone on the left up. And anyway, isn't Barbie supposed to be blond?
