Good news from the Catholic League with regard to SNAP, the professional victims group that cares oh, so deeply about abuse victims... provided a Catholic priest was the abuser.

SNAP, the professional victims' group, is salivating again. And no wonder: their latest 990 tax return shows they're in big trouble—their revenues are plummeting and they're operating in the red. So they badly need Anderson to grease them again. They are incapable of being shamed.

It would benefit everyone if these folks would be forced to get real jobs.

I was thinking: I suppose that it's perfectly possible that these people truly believed they had come into an infinite source of information and revenue when the scandal first broke. The concept that the number of perverts in the priesthood is finite, that bishops could clean house, that the bad bishops could be forced to clean up their acts—all foreign to them.

Wow, I never thought they'd be back. They had to ditch Blackie due to his incorrigible heroin use. Excerpt from T.O. Snobs:

With the unfortunate success of "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon", most people overlook that Urge Overkill were actually one hell of a great band in their day. There are precious few albums from the early '90s that hold up from beginning to end as well as Saturation.

As previously reported, Urge have been back in the studio working on their first new album in 16 years. That album now has a name and release date. Rock & Roll Submarine has now been slated for an April 26th release.

Here's "Effigy", a song they released from the new album. The video is available on YT also, but I hated it. Oh, well. Why didn't they just jump into a convertible with Cuban chicks like they did for Sister Havana? Instead they tried to make this one deep and meaningful. As Beavis and Butthead famously commented, "The only meaning a video should have is that there is nothing else to watch on television."



Not bad. Could have been on Saturation, or at least Exit the Dragon. I didn't think Exit the Dragon was as bad as some fans; really dug "Monopoly". Anyway....

Their website shows that they are playing in Chitown close to my birthday. Maybe I'll drag my wife over there....

Wow. That is a lot of firepower. When I saw the heat this Orthodox Priest was packing 'round the compound I almost pulled a Rod Dreher and converted. Bet you could get away with open carry in the liturgy, and I'm not talking about those swords the Knights of Columbus whip out now and again.

Kudos to Mark Steyn for spending 45 minutes (so far) on Rush's show bashing that ridiculous Chysler/Eminem/Detroit commercial. That was a complete waste of money and an exercise in excessive turd-polishing funded by the tax-payer via government bailout programs. I'm buying a Ford if I ever buy another American car.

Some idiot called in to say Detroit isn't all that bad. Right. Let's just all ignore the glaring problems with the city and "go to our happy place".

After the routine physical...

Something pretty cool happened last night. I got abducted by aliens again and this time, after giving me the routine physical examination, they let me ask them questions. I asked them what their favorite Earth rock song was. They said that it was the live version of Ma Ma Ma Belle by ELO. So that explains a lot, I think.
